Q: I recently learned I have one copy of the hemochromatosis (aka iron overload) gene. While my iron levels are at a good place right now, they can get elevated if I’m not careful. Along with making some dietary changes (red meat & alcohol are long gone), are there herbs/supplements that you’d suggest to support liver health without elevating iron? And conversely, what are best to avoid?
