Field notes: 5 unearthings for the ecosystem of self | words, wears, news & more
Foraging life for supernatural finds
My friends, in the spirit of growth and change that we embrace around here, I’m happy to introduce a new approach to newslettering, Q&A’ing, and generally sharing super-naturalness with you. The beloved monthly Supernatural News will continue right on as it has and additionally, I’ll be sending more on the weeks between, in an updated format that is still very much in a feeling-it-out phase. To start, we have: Five unearthings intended to enhance the ecosystem of your lives and selves. Your Ask The Herbalist questions will be included here, along with one find for each of your weekdays. Said tidbits may include herbalism news, supplements I’m loving or fitness that’s keeping me sane+strong, fashion or skincare recommendations, travel tips, music, and—of course—writings of all kinds.* I haven’t attempted to name this new style yet because naming, like branding, can be a bit boxing-in. Let’s just flow and see how it goes, shall we? I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and behind-the-scenes, there’s ever more, as always, in the works. It’s a pleasure to send some of my world out to you, and a compliment that you enjoy it. May it continue to serve you so well!

“I think our desperate sense-making comes from being authentically alive, and the desperation is baked into the cells of art. I think we can smell it: we’re animals; we can sense whether it’s really there or not.” — Sheila Heti
