INSIDE NATURALLY
We’re saturated with wellness—products, protocols, noise. What we’re not inundated with is wisdom. Naturally is not another wellness philosophy; it’s a return to a much older intelligence. One that predates the industry entirely. One that treats nature as teacher, not accessory.
The learnings in this series are the ones that have changed people—how they think, how they discern, how they understand the forces shaping their health and their lives. Not inspiration. Orientation.
Inside NATURALLY is an peek into that worldview. A weekly dose of the ideas in my book that travel far beyond herbs: systems-thinking, embodied logic, and a relationship with nature that sharpens rather than soothes.
Here’s this week’s learning:
“At its core, herbalism is the practice of pairing people with natural remedies for better well- being. From nutrition, physical therapy, mental health, and spirituality to community, environmentalism, and more, herbalism encompasses everything one might pursue in the ongoing work of crafting an ongoing recipe for a life well lived, naturally. This viewpoint resonates with most of the people I have taught because it’s accessible and inclusive, inspiring and practical, intuitive and logical—all of which herbalism inherently is.”
When it’s part of daily life herbalism is most powerful, it’s not an emergency fix.
Herbalism is inherently accessible and inclusive.
Herbalism offers a holistic lens for understanding well-being.
“Embracing an herbalist’s mindset was for me, as for the thousands in my orbit, transformative. It was as if someone had thrown open the shades and let all the light in. My face glowed in ways that attracted admiration from strangers, my mind expanded as though seeing the horizon for the first time, and suddenly health made so much sense. Rather than an endless number of things to do, wellness became about just one single, timeless and trusted act: to think, naturally.”
The whole system matters more than any single herb.
True “wellness” is simpler than we’re often led to believe.
We are all herbalists.
“These transformations occur because herbalism is, ultimately, a practice of relating more directly with our true nature. That nature is the same vitality that animates the plants we consume, and it is that which thrusts skyward the greenery we seek for refuge. The simple act of immersing ourselves in nature reconnects us with that singular life force we all share.”
Healing comes from understanding yourself—and nature, more deeply.
Immersion in nature is a direct path to reconnection.
We share the same life force as the plants we work with.
If one of these learnings landed for you, tell me which one and why! I love hearing how these ideas live in your bodies and lives.
