Introducing … SUCHNESS. A scent inspired by my philosophy of thinking naturally, which is a perspective that reveals the medicine in everything and a way of living that grows us toward the light of ourselves—in that ceaseless revolution from long before, through now and on into after we’re gone. Reunite with nature through this transcendent and timeless scent.

SUCHNESS: As-it-isness; synonym for emptiness or the 'nature of things'.
Absolute truth, actual state of existence, emptiness, essential nature, identity, pure fact of being, thusness, transcendent reality, true meaning.

My life has been dedicated to putting my finger on that sort of substance that makes up all of everything, that is just barely beyond our immediate perceptions, determined to encounter it—to know it by feeling because to me that seems the truest way to know a thing—I was certain that it was possible to. Because it was possible, I would, even if it took my whole life.

What is nature? Where do I end, and the environment begins? What is the relationship between us, and within us that drives who and how we are? What is life? What does it mean to be?

To inquire is to seek, which is to grow toward, expanding to fill space, which will entail encountering edges to eventually exceed. Realizing potential requires change; creative acts are intrinsically also destructive. This process is one of pursuing health, where health is the fullest fruition of the life that we are.

Early on, I named that invisible potential ness. It is some primary essence. Something out of which everything emerges, something that connects it all. It was the answer to the greatest why, a deep truth, the ultimate cause.

My pursuit of this nature represents an inherent striving to understand. I believe this journey is one that all of us are on, whether we know it or not. Like plants that strive toward light, we too live toward meaning and relationship, balance and wholeness, and either in agreement or resistance to the persistent unfolding that defines growth. Both the reaching for and realization of these aspirations are central to living, and to the definition of health.
