Hi Rachelle! I’m late to the conversation, but could you talk more about chaga and its benefits? I have been taking chaga—specifically the one Anima Mundi makes—every day, per the recommended dose of 1 tsp. I usually mix it into my oatmeal or an herbal coffee substitute. I started taking it for my immune health and because, according to the label, it helps to lower LDL, and even though I am a vegetarian and consume very little eggs, my LDL is genetically rather high. However, I’ve read that chaga also helps with stress/cortisol levels. I have not really noticed this benefit. (For some background, I practice other daily stress-management techniques including yoga, meditation, and some other form of exercise, but I am more of an anxious bunny.)
Is chaga similar to ashwagandha, in that it must be taken daily for months before one notices these mood-related benefits? Is 1 tsp too low of a dose? I’d love to hear any and all thoughts you have about chaga.
I would love to hear about some of your spiritual practices/ routines/ books/ resources.
