Two years ago this month, we broke ground on the project of building the Supernatural Studio & Apothecary. Now, we’re sharing the details—from those herb-storage jars you have needed to know about for so long, to every piece of furniture, lighting, and design and decor details—with links for where you can find everything.
This build-out was to be the evolution of Supernatural’s physical manifestation: The apothecary that began as a single shelf in my otherwise empty, new-apartment kitchen before growing into its own room, then out into the world as a cafe, shop, and experiential space. The newest evolution of this extension of myself that quickly became its own entity is part content and media studio, part atelier, with office, lounge, and alchemy-making areas too. The before-and-after renovation looks are unreal and while construction is always full of surprises, the creative process of making real this vision—and ebbing and flowing with it as it participates in its own shape-taking—is one of my favorite creative states to be in.
That is all also only true and possible because the team that made this new space a reality was an absolute dream. Every single inch, decision, and idea was considered with the perfect combination of inspiration, resourcefulness, care, and vision. Forever thank you to the crew credited below! And, to all of you here who are along for this supernatural journey, whether you remember those early days of DIY tincture tinkering or are newer to the story. As always, there is more to come!
