A new study, shows that cannabis use is on the rise. For the first time more Americans used cannabis daily or nearly daily than drank alcohol that often. Moving away from alcohol, and toward plants, can be a beneficial shift—though I like to encourage exploring dependencies of all kinds—even if just to learn what it’s possible to by doing so. (For herbal alcohol alternatives, consider HRBLS Happy Hour too!) More on cannabis in herbalism, and my sobriety story below.

Rachelle speaks with Karen Bush on the Full Capacity Living Podcast about herbs for hormone health, gut health, and of course more …
“I like to provoke that a bit, because I find that with recipes there's a level of just tell me what to do to make me feel better. And look, I get it. But really our health is our own. I don't find [following recipes] to be the most empowering way for people to understand anything about health. It doesn't encourage this kind of inquiry, this sort of personalization that is absolutely essential, this sort of skill building. I want to teach people to be able to go into this world and navigate it on their own, because a great recipe is, is a great recipe, but like when you need something else, it's not going to serve you. So if you have the tools to make your own recipes, then you can live your life in a better way, so.”

Hi Rachelle
Perhaps not the right thread, but I would love your take on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I’ve listened to your podcast on hormone balance a couple times and found it helpful for a while during perimenopause. But as I’m now shifting to full menopause my lifestyle approach (ie clean diet, daily exercise, no smoking, limited alcohol) is becoming less effective. My doctors are recommending HRT. I’ve read and read and the benefits seem to be worthwhile (bone density, cardiovascular health, cognition) but I am still wavering about relying on hormone therapy. Looking for another opinion to balance out my research! Thx as always
Rad recommendations! I love Rosemary’s all star line up of my favorite herbal mentors🥰 Mahalo for all the awesome shares🌺
