Paulina and I met in Latin America earlier this year, but we’d been connected online for many years already—generally feeling each other’s vibes, which is a way of saying that even through social media speak and screens, something drew us to each other. In person, that connection was instant and easy, with wide-ranging and intimate conversation on our first hang, which progressed from meeting for sunset, to going for dinner, to an evening in the jungle at the local surfers’ watering hole.
