After decades of being a city dweller and workaholic, my partner & I booked 5 weeks in a stone cottage on a 6 acre organic farm 15 min walk from the sea on a Greek island this summer. I beyond excited and also sacred about what will surface and how I’ll manage so much solitude. This gives me hope I will also break open - and not just break and go mad! And I hope I can write so poignantly about my experience. 🧡
I'm so excited for you! These experiences are ALways informative—even if it's in the way to say, Welp, that was too much solitude. ;) But I've found that in nature, we need so much less than when we're away from it. I, for one, find myself simply sitting and looking (and feeling) so much of the time here. Our senses, and the wanderings of the mind, especially in wild nature, may be material enough for ... ever? (<- something I wrote yesterday)
Hoping to hear how it goes for you. Stay open to even any discomfort and the reward will be oh so worth it. <3
It was calming and simultaneously exciting to listen to :) I think hearing it really adds to the magic of the writing!
Thanks for saying so! I *really enjoyed reading it. Have always loved reading my words aloud because, as you say, something is added. <3

Just beautiful. 🌾🪞
Thanks so much, Madison. (It was a pleasure to read aloud!)
